Wings Tattoo Designs

 

 

Angel Wings Tattoo: Based on the wings of a bird.  Short of becoming an angel, you can have your own pair of angelic wings tattooed on your back! Many people choose angel wings for the obvious spiritual symbolism.

Demon Wings Tattoo: Based on the wings of a bat.  Similar to the angel wings, demon wings are popular for a twist on the naughty/nice dichotomy.

Fairy Wings Tattoo: Based on the wings of a dragonfly.  Devotees of fantasy love the fairy wing tattoo, but they are usually more popular among women than men, as fairies are generally imagined as feminine creatures.  Like most wings, the popular location is the back or shoulders.

Butterfly Wings Tattoo: Nature has a bounty of beautiful butterflies, each equipped with a variety of colorful wing patterns.  Butterfly wings are very popular among women, typically appearing on the back or shoulders.

It is fairly typical for the wings tattoos discussed above to be large in size and/or intricate in design.  If you go with any of the intricate wing designs, you can reasonably expect to use a selection of colored inks. If you decide on that type of tattoo, be prepared for a higher price tag, but in the end it depends on several factors such as size, detail, and color.  Finally, be prepared to commit the time needed for the several sittings that may be needed to complete the tattoo.

A wing tattoo doesn’t have to be large and extensive; you can always get a small tattoo that features wings. Rather than a tattoo of just wings (butterfly, angel, etc.), get a tattoo of a butterfly, angel, etc.

A Wing tattoo can refer to any design from something with wings to giving your self wings.  Whatever you decide on, make sure you’ll be able to live with it.  Tattoos are permanent.  Also remember to consider the cost of time and money it takes to get a tattoo.
